The 2471 is made of smooth lightweight material that is firm. So the cups will hold you in place. The style has a mix of the elements of the 4520 and 4500. It has the lift, shape and low front of the 4520 but the coverage and stronger straps of the 4500.
The straps come in closer at the shoulder because of the leotard style back. Which is to prevent slippage.
The cups have an elastic edge to accommodate the slight variation of individual breast size. As generally one is larger than the other.
