Google Friend Connect

I have been contemplating this widget for awhile and recently Lipstick Rules did a post on it.  I got rid of it because looking at the number of followers and hoping it will surpass a certain mark can turn obsessive.  I realize that the number of followers is just for my hoarding gain and nothing else.  It doesn't tell me the popularity or unpopularity of the blog.  It doesn't give me commission for every follower I have.  It just makes me obsessed with something I don't need to be obsessed with and let alone get upset about.
